The album is coming along really well, really taking shape and I can't tell you how much of a dream it's been to record in this way!
Following the album I hope to be presenting the show with my band which will include many more songs penned by the wonderful Burt Bacharach and Hal David as soon as we're able, we'll send out details!

Hello from us here at Elaine Gilmore HQ!
I thought I'd update you - as I'm getting enquiries as to WHEN my album will be available and I'm very happy about that! :)
We're trying to move forward in these challenging circumstances and I'm planning to get myself and my musicians back into the studio observing all social distancing measures at these 'difficult' times.
We need to finish this labour of love, we can see light at the end of the tunnel - it's just a slower 2nd half of the journey through it!
Losing 7 months worth of work (so far) hasn't been easy for us as both Paul and myself are self employed musicians/entertainers-Thank goodness that we're able to qualify for the government grant so we're managing to survive-sadly it's been a very difficult time indeed for entertainers, venues and people working in the industry who haven't had support at all. Let's hope we'll all get through this over the next few months and good times are ahead!
We're making headway though!
We've raised money for the N H S through "What the world needs now" and I thank those of you who donated and I'm back back into the studio soon, so I figure that it's o.k. to fall as long as I'm falling forward and keep getting up!

Hello My Friends!
I've been informed by my daughter Gemma that her lovely Spanish boyfriend Jose uses my blog to practice his English!
I thought I'd better say 'Hi' & fill you in on latest developments!
Welcome Jose!
As you know, many plans have been postponed, and us creative folk are trying to 'ride the storm' as we are unable to perform 'live' in the immediate future we have no dates to confirm as yet for my "Simply Bacharach Show" but I'm thrilled to announce that we've decided to extend the album!
I will be going into the studio over the next few weeks with Al (socially distancing of course) - putting finishing touches to what we've already done & preparing to add at least another song or two...maybe we'll add four and just keep going as we just love them all!
Putting this album "Love Is Still The Answer" in motion has been a great experience, deepening my love for Burt Bacharach & Hal David's collaboration and from the response I've received on Facebook & YouTube to "What The World Needs Now" it seems I'm not alone receiving many lovely comments, compliments & over 67,000k views to date in around 6 weeks!
It's been a wonderfully exciting time for me so far working creatively with Al Steele, Ceri Darknell & the beautiful orchestra (which includes my wonderful husband Paul Smith on drums) at Shabbey Road Studios South Wales and I look forward to presenting the finished product ready for Christmas 2020.

How are you all doing?
I can't tell you how much we miss performing, and things certainly are testing our resolve!
My "What the World Needs Now is Love" has raised some money currently £292.00 for the NHS and I'm keeping that open for a little longer 100% of monies donated will be presented and I'll keep you updated!
PLEASE keep sharing & encouraging donations- somewhere near 43k views on fb to date and a lot of lovely messages which are really nice to receive.
We are currently working on my next video/song release - It's going to be another song from the album - I'll keep you guessing for now!

How are you all coping in these challenging times?
We continue to plan and I'm so looking forward to getting dressed up and performing all of the new songs featured on the album plus a few more!
We're hoping to get our first Sedaka meets Bacharach show date re-arranged for November pending advice, as we move into summer.

Welcome to my website!
Although we are facing some worrying times, it has been amazing what the human spirit has achieved. We have succeeded in getting the homeless off the streets, we are looking out for our neighbours and we are trying to keep each other safe.
I was busy recording my new album, which was due for completion beginning of the summer, but unfortunately it's not possible to finish it at present! In the meantime we have a "snippet" for you :- "What The World Needs Now" - one of the songs I've recorded and a video featuring pics of the musicians who played and our family.
This has had the most overwhelming reaction on Social Media with more than 20,000 views in less than two weeks!
If there was ever something good to come out of this virus, it would be the recognition of our fabulous NHS and their worldwide counterparts.
